On Friday, May 2nd, 2008, my wife and I became American citizens. We were sworn in at 12.45pm on Friday in Hartford.

We recited the oath and pledge of allegiance and received our certificates of naturalization around 2.30pm.

After the ceremony, Steve and Toni Rubin (our cheering squad) took us to the Capitol building and that's when the fun began....we met Congressman Christopher Dodd (D), who was in from Washington, the Lieutenant Governor of CT (Governer Jodi Rell was in but in a budget...
